The challenge

Q Dental wanted more new patient leads from Google in a competitive Champaign, Illinois market. Traffic wasn't the problem to solve — calls, forms, and booked patients were.

There was a second, more valuable layer to the goal. Alongside everyday general dentistry patients, the practice wanted full-mouth dental implant cases: the full-arch and full-mouth replacement patients who represent a fraction of the lead volume but a large share of practice revenue. Those two audiences search very differently and cannot be won with one generic campaign.

The strategy: two audiences, one budget

SearchParty Marketing launched a focused Google Search campaign built around high-intent dental keywords in the local service area, deliberately structured to serve both sides of the practice.

General dentistry searches — "dentist near me", cleanings, exams, emergency visits — kept a steady base of new patient inquiries flowing. In parallel, we targeted the high-value implant queries: full mouth dental implants, full arch replacement, all-on-4 style searches, and "replace all my teeth" language. Those searchers are further along, more considered, and worth protecting budget for.

From there it was continuous optimization on keywords, search terms, bidding, ad copy, budget allocation, and lead quality — pushing spend toward the searches most likely to become real patients, and away from the ones that only looked good on a click report.

Why the implant leads matter

Cost per lead is the wrong scoreboard on its own for an implant practice. A general dentistry lead and a full-mouth implant lead can cost roughly the same to generate while differing by an order of magnitude in case value.

That's why the campaign was built to capture both. The general dentistry side keeps the schedule full and the hygiene chairs busy; the full-mouth replacement side delivers the large treatment plans that move the practice's revenue. Blending them at a $62.46 average cost per lead means the implant inquiries were acquired at a small fraction of the value of a single accepted case.

If you run an implant-focused practice, this is the structure that matters: protect implant search coverage as its own line item instead of letting cheaper, higher-volume general dentistry clicks absorb the entire budget.

What made the campaign work

Strong ad relevance drove a 7.00% click-through rate, and the landing experience converted that traffic at 5.22% — both well above typical local dental benchmarks. Ongoing optimization kept lead costs steady even as volume grew.

Just as important, the campaign stayed on people already looking for dental care, and kept implant demand from being crowded out by cheaper general clicks. The campaign was frequently limited by budget, which means the demand is there to scale: more budget on the same structure should produce more leads — including more full-mouth cases — at a controlled cost per lead.
